Zaplog works on one phone at a time. When you sign in on a new phone, Zaplog signs out on the old one. If your account is still signed in on another phone, that phone has to confirm the move.

If you still have your old phone

  1. On the new phone, open Zaplog, enter your number and tap Next.
  2. Zaplog shows Check your other phone: a 6-digit code has been sent to Zaplog on the phone you're signed in on.
  3. On the old phone, open Zaplog. Within a few seconds a sign-in sheet appears, showing Signing in on a new phone? and a Sign-in code.
  4. Type that code on the new phone.
  5. The old phone shows Code accepted and signs out a moment later. Your account, and your history, move to the new phone.

If the code doesn't appear on the old phone

Tap Didn't get the code? on the new phone:

  • Check that Zaplog is open on the old phone and that it's online.
  • Tap Show it on my other phone again to send the sign-in sheet again.

If you don't have your old phone

On the new phone, tap Didn't get the code?, then Send a code by SMS. Before it's sent, Zaplog explains what happens:

  • You get one SMS code, with no resends.
  • New sign-ins with this number are then locked for 24 hours.
  • The code on your other phone stops working.

Tap Send SMS and enter the code from the text message. Only do this if you really can't get to the old phone.

If the SMS doesn't arrive, Zaplog shows You've used your SMS code. You can try again once new sign-ins open; a countdown shows when.

If your account has a PIN

After the code, the new phone asks you to Enter your account PIN. Without it, the new phone can't sign the old one out or restore your history. See Account PIN.

Frequently asked questions

What happens to the old phone?

It's signed out, and the chats, contacts and files of your account are removed from it. Everything is still in your account and appears on the new phone.

I didn't try to sign in, but my phone showed a sign-in code.

Someone has your number and is trying to sign in. Tap This wasn't me, then Block sign-in. See Someone is trying to sign in to your account.

Can I use Zaplog on two phones?

No, but you can link computers and browsers to your phone. See Linked devices.
