When someone enters your number on a new phone, your signed-in phone gets a Sign-in request notification and a sheet that says Signing in on a new phone? with a code. If that's you, type the code on the new phone. If it isn't, block it.

Block a sign-in you didn't start

  1. On the sign-in sheet, tap This wasn't me.
  2. Tap Block sign-in.

The code stops working right away, and your account stays on your phone. Zaplog shows Sign-in blocked. The other phone sees Declined on your other phone.

Frequently asked questions

Someone messaged me asking for a code I received. What should I do?

Don't send it. This is a common scam to take over accounts, even when the message seems to come from a friend whose account was taken. See Scams and fake messages.
