Share your QR code and scan someone else's
Let people start a chat with you by scanning your Zaplog QR code, or scan theirs.
Your Zaplog QR code is a quick way for someone to find you. It points at your @username, so anyone who scans it can open your profile and start a chat.
Show your QR code
- Open Settings.
- Tap the QR code icon next to your profile.
- Your code appears under My code.
From here you can:
- Share the code as a picture.
- Save it to your phone. It goes into Pictures/Zaplog.
- Copy a link to your profile.
If you haven't set a username yet, Zaplog shows No username yet and a Set a username button.
Scan a code
- Open the QR code screen and switch to scanning.
- Point your camera at a Zaplog QR code. You can pinch to zoom and tap to focus. Use the flash button in low light.
- When Zaplog recognizes the code, tap Message to start a chat or View profile.
To scan a code from a screenshot or photo, tap Scan from a picture.
If the scan doesn't work
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| Not a Zaplog code | The code is for something else. Zaplog offers to open the link or copy the text instead. |
| Nobody found | That @username doesn't exist any more. The code may be out of date. |
| That's your own code. | You scanned yourself. |
| Camera access needed | Allow the camera for Zaplog. Nothing is recorded or uploaded when you scan. |
