Share your location

Send a location

1. In a chat, tap the paper clip (Attach), then Location.
2. Allow location access if you're asked.
3. Choose one:
   • Use my current location to send where you are now.
   • Search location... to find a place by name, or move the map, then Share this location.

The person sees a map. Tapping it opens Location Details, where Open in Maps or Start Navigation opens your maps app.

Share your live location

Live location keeps updating on the map as you move, for as long as you choose.

1. Tap Attach > Location.
2. Tap Share Live Location.
3. Pick how long: 15 minutes, 1 hour, 6 hours or 12 hours.

While it's on, your phone shows a notification that Zaplog is sharing your live location, and the chat shows Live until the end time. Others can tap View live location and Follow location to keep the map centered on you.

Stop sharing

Tap Stop sharing location on the live location message, or in the notification. The map then shows Live Location Ended and your last known position.
