Reply to a message
Quote a specific message in your reply, or reply privately to someone from a group.

A reply shows the message you're answering above your own, so everyone knows what you mean.
Reply to a message
Either:
- Swipe right on the message, or
- Long-press the message and tap Reply.
The message appears above the composer as Replying to the person. Type your answer and send it. Tap the X (Cancel reply) to stop replying.
Tap a quoted message in the chat to jump to the original.
Reply privately
In a group, you can answer someone in a one-to-one chat instead:
- Long-press their message.
- Tap Reply privately.
Your private chat with that person opens with their message quoted.
Reply to a GIF
Tap a GIF to open it full screen. You can react to it or type in Reply to this GIF… at the bottom.
