Common scams

ScamWhat it looks like
Code theft"I sent you a code by mistake, can you send it to me?" It's the code to take over your account. Never share it.
Fake Zaplog staffSomeone claiming to be from Zaplog asks for your code, PIN or password. Zaplog never asks for these. Messages from Zaplog appear in your Zappy chat or in Settings > Help > Trust & Safety, never from a stranger's account.
A friend in troubleA friend's account, or a new number claiming to be them, urgently asks for money. Call them on a number you already know to check.
Too good to be truePrizes, giveaways, investment or crypto opportunities, and jobs that pay a lot for little.
LinksLinks to fake sign-in pages, or that ask for payment details. Check the address before you type anything.

What to do

  1. Don't reply, send money, or share any code.
  2. Report the account, and block it.
  3. If you shared a code, set an Account PIN right away, and check Linked devices.
  4. If you lost money, contact your bank and your local police.

If your account was taken over

Sign in again with your number. If the other phone has an Account PIN you didn't set, use Forgot PIN?; see Forgot your Account PIN. Then contact support.
