Moderate a room
The moderation page, the inbox and queue, removing and restoring content, and the mod log.
On this page
If you own or moderate a room, open the room's menu and choose Moderation. It's organized into what Needs attention, Automatic enforcement, Tools and Rules and people.
Needs attention
| Item | What's in it |
|---|---|
| Inbox | The queue, appeals and reports in one list. Swipe right to keep an item, left to remove it. |
| Moderation queue | Content AutoMod or members flagged for review. |
| Join requests | People waiting to be let in, if the room reviews new members. |
| Your alerts | Raids, unsafe links and members who may need support. |
| Open reports | Member reports waiting for a moderator. |
| Evasion flags | New accounts that resemble banned members. |
| Removed this week | Posts and comments removed in the last 7 days. |
| Active bans and Muted members | Who is currently locked out or silenced. |
Review the queue
Open Mod queue. Items are Pending, Approved or Removed. For each one you can approve it, remove it with a reason, or ban the author. Bulk actions let you Approve all or Remove all at once.
Removed content stops showing in the room. Its author keeps seeing it with your reason, and can appeal. To undo a removal, open it and tap Restore (Put this back?).
Remove something directly
Open a post's, comment's or message's options and tap Remove. Add a reason (pick a rule or write your own), and confirm. The author sees the reason; the action goes in the mod log.
The mod log
Mod log lists every moderator action in order: approvals, removals, bans, mutes and evasion calls, with who did them. Tap Load older entries to go further back.
Test your setup
- Test a message shows everything a sample message would meet in this room, in order: joining rules, AutoMod, banned words and every bot rule. Nothing is posted.
- Protection overview lists every check the room runs, in the order a post meets it. Tap a step to change it.
Rules and people
From here you also manage Room rules, Post flair, User flair, Post interactions, the Watchlist, Bans, and Mention permissions (who can use @everyone).
Your responsibilities
Moderators agree to enforce the Community Guidelines and their room's rules fairly. Zaplog's Trust & Safety team can act on any room or account.
