Bans, mutes, time-outs and the watchlist
Ban or mute members, time them out, watch someone's posts, and catch ban evasion.
Ban a member
Open the member in Room Settings > Members, or a piece of their content, and choose Ban member. Choose how long. Their content is removed either way. A timed ban lifts itself; a permanent one doesn't.
Bans lists active and expired bans. Tap Lift ban to let someone back early. Clearing an expired ban's record also stops it counting toward ban-evasion checks.
Mute or time out
- Mute someone keeps them in the room but stops them posting, commenting and chatting until it expires (or Until lifted).
- Time out stops them posting for a while. In voice channels, timed-out members can listen but not talk.
Moderators can't be muted or timed out; change their role first.
Watchlist
Watch someone when they're on thin ice but not ban-worthy. A watched member keeps posting normally, but everything they write is held for review first. Tap Unwatch to stop.
Ban evasion
Turn on Watch for returning bans to compare each new account that joins against members banned in the last 90 days. When one looks like a match, choose to Flag for review or Block the join. Flags appear under Evasion flags with the evidence.
Kick
Kick from room removes someone without banning them. They can join again with an invite.
