Strikes and warnings

Strikes record when a member breaks the rules. Bots and moderators give them. Each strike fades after a while.

Warn a member

Open the member's Standing & warnings in Room Settings > Members. Write What the warning is for, then Send warning. They see your message, with the strike it adds. From here you can also Hold next 3 posts for review.

The strike ladder

Open Moderation > Strikes & warnings:

• Act on strikes automatically: off, strikes are only recorded; on, each step of the ladder applies when a member reaches it.
• Moderator removals count as strikes: when you remove something, its author gets a strike, unless a bot already gave one.
• Strikes fade after (days): how long a strike counts toward the ladder.
• Ladder: what happens at each number of strikes, for example a mute, then a ban. Tap Add a step, or Reset to the standard ladder.

What members see

Members can see Your standing here in a room: their strikes, or No strikes. Thanks for keeping it friendly.
