Message ticks explained
What the clock, one tick, two ticks and colored ticks mean on your messages.
On this page
The small marks beside the time on your messages show how far each message has got.
| Mark | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Clock | Waiting to send. Your phone is offline or still connecting. It sends as soon as it can. |
| One tick | Sent. The message has reached Zaplog's servers. |
| Two ticks | Delivered to the other person's phone. |
| Two colored ticks | Read. The other person has opened the chat. |
| Red alert icon | Couldn't send. Tap the message to try again. |
A freshly sent message shows as sent straight away when your connection is good, so you'll only see the clock when something is slowing it down.
In groups
To see exactly which members have received or read a group message, long-press it and tap Info. See Message info.
Why you might not see colored ticks
- The other person turned off Read receipts. When either of you turns them off, neither of you sees read ticks in one-to-one chats.
- They have stealth mode on for you.
Read receipts are always on in groups. See Read receipts.
