Zaplog can show you which of your phone contacts already use Zaplog. To do that, it needs two things: access to your contacts, and your agreement to send their numbers to Zaplog to find matches.

Turn it on

The first time you open your chat list, Zaplog asks for contacts access and explains that the numbers in your contacts are sent to Zaplog's servers to find matching accounts. You can also turn it on later:

  1. Tap Send message on the Chats screen.
  2. If you see See which of your contacts are on Zaplog, tap Turn on.
  3. Read Find your contacts on Zaplog? and tap Continue.

If contacts access is off for Zaplog, turn it on in your phone's settings first.

What happens to your contacts

  • The phone numbers in your address book are sent to Zaplog's servers and matched against accounts.
  • They're used only for that, and to show you the right names in Zaplog.
  • They aren't sold, used for advertising, or shared with anyone else.

You can still message anyone by typing their number, even if you don't turn this on. When you type or tap a single number, Zaplog checks just that one number.

Turn it off

Turn off Contacts access for Zaplog in your phone's settings. Zaplog then stops reading your address book.
