Send a message with effects
Add bubble effects like Slam and Invisible Ink, or full-screen effects like Confetti and Fireworks.

Effects add an animation to a text message when the other person sees it.
Send with an effect
- Type your message.
- Hold the Send button, then choose Send with effects.
- Pick a tab:
- Bubble animates the message bubble.
- Screen fills the whole screen. Swipe to preview each one.
- Tap Send with the effect's name.
The effects
| Tab | Effects |

| Bubble | Slam, Loud, Gentle and Invisible Ink change how the message bubble arrives. |
| Screen | Echo (copies of your message fill the screen), Spotlight, Balloons, Confetti, Love, Lasers, Fireworks and Celebration play across the whole screen. |
Invisible Ink
A message sent with Invisible Ink arrives hidden under a shimmering veil. Rub your finger over it to wipe the ink away and read the words. A couple of seconds after you lift your finger, the ink flows back.
When effects play
An effect plays when the other person first sees the message, for example when they open the chat. It doesn't replay when they scroll back. To watch it again, tap Replay under the message.
Invisible Ink and notifications
A message sent with Invisible Ink stays private in notifications and in the chat list, which show Sent with Invisible Ink instead of the words.
