Age rules in ZapRooms
Minimum ages for joining rooms, why creating a room is 18+, and why private rooms are adults only.
ZapRooms uses the birthday on your Zaplog profile to apply age rules. Your birthday itself is never shown.
| Rule | Who it applies to |
|---|---|
| Using Zaplog | You must be at least 13. |
| Joining a room | Each room's owner sets a minimum age of 13 or 18. You can't join a room above your age, by search, invite link or from its profile. |
| Creating a room | You must be 18 or older. |
| Private rooms | Private rooms are invite-only and hidden from everyone outside them, so they're for members 18 and over, whatever minimum age they show. |
If ZapRooms can't confirm your age from your profile, it treats that as a no.
When a room goes private
If a public room is made private, members under 18, or whose age can't be confirmed, are taken out of the room and get a notice explaining why. Invite links to private rooms start working for them from their 18th birthday.
If you see "You're too young to open this room"
The room's minimum age is above yours. You can still join, chat and post in any room whose minimum age allows you.
