Room settings

Open the room, tap its name or menu, and choose Room Settings. Only the room's owner and moderators can change settings; other members can look but not edit.

Overview

• Room icon and Room cover.
• Room Name and Description.
• Category, which helps people find the room in Discover.
• PRIVACY & DISCOVERY: Public Room or Private Room (invite only, 18 and over).
• MINIMUM AGE, set when the room was created. It can't be changed.

Tap Save to apply changes.

Channels and categories

Tap Add to Create Channel or Create Category.

When you create a channel, choose its CHANNEL TYPE:

For each channel you can set:

• A Topic.
• WHO CAN POST: Everyone, Moderators & admins or Admins only. Restricting this doesn't hide the channel. Add exceptions under Permissions to let particular members post.
• SLOW MODE: a minimum gap between one member's messages.
• Private Channel: hidden from members except the ones listed under Permissions. Owners and admins always see it.

A Private Category hides all its channels from members. Drag channels and categories to reorder them.

Rules, flair and emoji

• Room rules are what members read and what moderators cite when removing something.
• Post flair are tags members pick when they post, such as Discussion or Question. You can Require flair on new posts and give a flair a Post template.
• User flair are tags beside members' names. Choose whether Members can assign their own and whether Members can edit the text.
• This room's emoji lets you add custom emoji (a picture under 512 KB and a name), used as :name:.

Post interactions

Post interactions lets you choose who can comment and vote (Everyone, Staff only or No one), which post types members can create, and which attachments are allowed in comments.

Delete the room

Under DANGER ZONE, Delete Room deletes the room with every message, channel and post in it. See Leave or delete a room.
