Stage channels
Listen to live talks and Q&As, raise your hand to speak, and host a stage if you're a moderator.
Stage channels are for talks, Q&As and listening parties. Speakers are on stage; everyone else listens.
Listen to a stage
When a stage is live, it shows LIVE with its topic. Tap it, then Listen or Join stage. You join IN THE AUDIENCE, muted.
When a stage is Off air, you'll see When a moderator goes live, you can listen in from here.
Ask to speak
Tap Raise hand. ZapRooms shows Your hand is up. The moderators can see it. If a moderator invites you, you'll see You're invited to speak and can choose Join as a speaker or Stay in the audience. You start muted on stage; unmute when you're ready.
Host a stage (moderators)
- Open the stage channel and tap Join backstage. Only moderators can be there until the stage goes live.
- Tap Start stage and give it a topic (up to 120 characters), such as Q&A, Ask me anything, Weekly hangout, Announcements or Listening party.
- Turn on Notify members to let members who get every notification know it went live.
- Go live.
While live, you can invite people from REQUESTS TO SPEAK or the audience (they'll be asked first), move speakers back to the audience, Edit topic, or End stage, which takes everyone out.
A stage ends by itself when nobody is left to speak.
