Text channels are a room's live chat, listed under TEXT CHANNELS in the room.

Send a message

Open a channel, type in Message #channel, and tap Send. You can attach pictures, GIFs, files and voice messages, and mention people with @name or link a channel with #channel.

Hold Send for more options:

  • Send without notifying — it still counts as unread, but nobody's phone buzzes.
  • Schedule message — pick when it goes out. Scheduled messages are listed under Scheduled messages in the channel's info, where you can cancel them.

Reply and react

  • Swipe left on a message to reply to it.
  • Long-press a message for reactions and more: Reply in thread, Save message, Copy message link, Forward to a channel, Share…, Mark unread from here, edit, delete or report.

Threads

Reply in thread starts a side conversation under one message, so the channel stays readable. Open a thread with View thread. You can also tick Also send to #channel to post your thread reply in the main channel too. The channel's info lists all Threads.

Saved messages

Save message keeps a message in Saved messages in the rooms drawer. Search them with Search saved messages.

Channel info

Tap the channel's name to see its Threads, Media, Files, Links, Pinned messages and Scheduled messages, and to Search this channel or Jump to date.
