After you verify your number for the first time, Zaplog asks for a few details on the Profile Info screen. A progress line at the top shows how many of the 4 required details are ready.

Add a profile photo

  1. Tap the circle at the top.
  2. Choose Take a photo to use your camera now, or Choose from gallery to pick an existing picture.
  3. Adjust the crop and confirm.

Pick a username

Usernames can use letters, numbers, periods and underscores. As you type, Zaplog checks whether the name is free and shows @yourname is available when it is. See Choose or change your username.

Gender and birthday

Pick your gender and your date of birth carefully. Both are saved once and locked: Zaplog shows Gender locked and Birthday locked afterwards, and you can't change them in the app.

Your birthday stays private. It never appears on your profile or anywhere else in Zaplog. It's used to apply age rules (for example, you must be 18 or older to create a room) and so Zappy can wish you a happy birthday. Other people see your age only where an age rule applies, never the date.

Finish

Tap the button at the bottom to save. Zaplog then opens your chats, or restores your chat history first if your account already had messages. You can change your name, photo, bio and username at any time. See Edit your profile.
