You can delete your Zaplog account from the app. Deletion isn't immediate: your account is scheduled for deletion and kept untouched for 30 days, so you can change your mind.

Before you delete

  • Cancel any subscription.
    • If you pay for Zaplog Pro directly (Pay Direct, through Stripe), you must cancel it first. Zaplog shows Cancel your subscription first and lets you cancel there and then.
    • If you subscribed through Google Play or the App Store, deleting your account doesn't cancel it, because the store bills you separately. Zaplog reminds you, and offers a button to cancel it in the store. Cancel it, or you'll keep being charged.
  • Save anything you want to keep. ZapFit has its own export. See Download your data.

Delete your account

  1. Open Settings > Account.
  2. Under Danger zone, tap Delete account.
  3. Read What gets erased and What stays, without your name on it.
  4. Type DELETE to confirm.
  5. Tap Delete my account and confirm with your fingerprint, face or screen lock.

Zaplog shows Scheduled for deletion with the date. You're signed out on every device straight away.

What happens next

WhenWhat happens
TodayYou're signed out on every phone and browser. Nothing is deleted yet.
During the next 30 daysSign in with your number and the deletion is cancelled. Your account comes back exactly as you left it.
After 30 daysA scheduled process removes your account and the data that goes with it.

What's removed

Your profile, your chats on our servers, your stories, your ZapCloud files, your notes, your Organized plans, your ZapFit data, your Zaplog AI conversations, and your Zappy memories and automations are removed with your account. Your encryption keys go too, and your phone number and username become free for someone else to use. Groups you created pass to another admin if anyone else is in them, and are deleted if not.

What's kept

Some records are kept after deletion, as described in the Privacy Policy:

  • ZapRooms posts, comments and room messages stay in their rooms, shown as written by a deleted account, so conversations other people took part in still make sense. Rooms you created stay, and ownership passes to the admin who has been there longest.
  • Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically seven years.
  • Safety records, such as reports and bans, are kept where they're needed to keep the platform safe.
  • Encrypted backups can hold data for up to 90 days before they rotate out.
