Zappy is told your birthday, age and gender from your Zaplog profile.

• On your birthday, Zappy sends you a happy-birthday message in the morning, once a year.
• Gender is used only so Zappy uses the right grammatical forms in languages that need them, never to assume what you like.
• Zappy doesn't bring either up unprompted.

These details go to Zaplog's AI with your Zappy requests. They're left out when Zappy answers an @zappy question in a chat other people can see.
