Keep Zaplog working in the background

To save battery, many Android phones pause apps that aren't on screen. That can delay messages, calls, reminders and camera backup.

Let Zaplog run in the background

1. Open your phone's Settings.
2. Go to Apps > Zaplog > Battery (sometimes App battery usage).
3. Choose Unrestricted (or Don't optimize).

Brand-specific settings

Some phones add their own restrictions:

• Samsung: in Settings > Battery > Background usage limits, make sure Zaplog isn't in Sleeping apps or Deep sleeping apps.
• Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO: turn on Autostart for Zaplog, and set its battery saver to No restrictions.
• Huawei and Honor: in App launch, set Zaplog to Manage manually and allow everything.
• OnePlus and OPPO: allow background activity for Zaplog in its battery settings.

Menu names vary between phones and Android versions.

Exact alarms

Organized, ZapFit and Notes reminders use exact alarms. If Organized shows Alerts may arrive late, tap Fix and allow Alarms & reminders for Zaplog.
