Record and send

  1. In a chat, with the message box empty, hold the microphone button.
  2. Speak while you hold it.
  3. Let go to send.

Cancel while recording

Slide your finger left (Slide to cancel) and let go. Nothing is sent.

Record hands-free

Slide your finger up to the lock while recording. You can then let go and keep talking. When you're done, tap Send, or tap the trash to discard it.

If Zaplog asks, allow microphone access. Then hold the microphone again to record.

Listen to a voice message

Tap Play on the message. While it plays:

  • Drag along the waveform to jump to another part.
  • Tap the speed button to switch between 1x, 1.5x and 2x. The speed you pick is kept for the next voice message you play.

Voice messages you receive download before they play. If auto-download is off for your connection, tap the message to download it first.

Read instead of listen

Tap Transcript under a voice message to see it as text. See Voice message transcripts.
