Meet Zappy
Zappy is an assistant in your chat list that can plan, find, log, draft and automate across Zaplog. Here's how to talk to it.
On this page
Zappy is an assistant that lives in your chat list. Text it like you'd text anyone. It can see most of Zaplog, so you don't have to go digging.
Open Zappy
Open Chats and tap the Zappy conversation. The Zappy chip at the top of your list always brings it to the top.
What to ask
- "Plan my afternoon around the dentist at 3."
- "Find the lease PDF in my cloud and tell me when it ends."
- "Had eggs on toast and a coffee." (logs it in ZapFit)
- "What did the family group decide about Sunday?"
- "Every weekday at 8am, tell me what's on today."
- "Tell me if someone says 'tickets' in the Concert group."
See What Zappy can do.
How Zappy works with you
- While it works, Zappy shows what it's doing, such as Checking your plan… or Searching the web….
- Zappy asks before every change it makes. When it proposes something, tap Yes, do it (or Do all for several changes) or No. You can choose some actions it may do without asking. See Confirmations and trust.
- When Zappy asks a simple question, Yes and No buttons appear under its reply.
- Tap Stop Zappy at the top of the chat to stop a reply that's taking too long.
Zappy is text only
Zappy reads and writes text. It doesn't listen to voice messages or speak its replies. Photos you send it, such as a meal or a document, it can read.
Settings
Tap Zappy settings at the top of Zappy's chat, or open Settings > Zappy (Automations, memories and connected accounts).
Frequently asked questions
Is my conversation with Zappy stored on Zaplog's servers?
Zappy's conversation, memories and automations are encrypted on your phone before they're backed up, so your history follows your account but Zaplog's servers hold only encrypted copies. To answer you, the content a request needs is sent to Zaplog's AI. See Zappy and your privacy.
Can I talk to Zappy from my home screen or Siri?
No. Zappy is a text conversation inside Zaplog.
