Delete messages

1. Long-press the message.
2. Tap Delete.
3. Choose:
   • Delete for everyone removes it for everyone in the chat. It's offered for messages you sent.
   • Delete for me removes it from your phone only. Other people still see it.

The chat shows You deleted this message (or This message was deleted to others) where a message deleted for everyone used to be.

Photos, videos and albums

• Deleting a photo album deletes every photo in it.
• Delete for everyone also removes the media from Zaplog's servers, which frees up the space it took in your account storage.

Delete several messages

To remove many messages at once, clear the chat instead. See Clear or delete a chat.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a time limit for deleting for everyone?

No. You can delete your own messages for everyone at any time.

Does the other person know I deleted a message?

They see that a message was deleted, but not what it said.
