The other person is too quiet

  • Turn up your phone's volume while the call is on. The volume buttons control call volume during a call.
  • Switch the Audio route to Speaker, or back to Earpiece.
  • Zaplog automatically makes speech louder on the earpiece and speaker. Headphones play the call as it is.

They can't hear me, or hear an echo

  • Check you're not muted: the microphone button shows Unmute microphone when you are.
  • If you're both on speaker, the phone may turn your microphone down to cancel the echo. Switch one of you to the earpiece or headphones.
  • Turn on Noise cancellation in the call options if there's background noise.
  • Check that Zaplog has microphone access in your phone's settings.

Poor connection or Reconnecting

Zaplog shows Poor connection or Reconnecting… when the internet connection is struggling. Calls recover by themselves when they can.

  • Move closer to your Wi-Fi router, or switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
  • Turn off video to use less bandwidth.
  • If it shows Connection lost, end the call and call again.

Video is frozen or black

  • Check the camera button: your camera may be off.
  • Make sure no other app is using the camera.
  • Allow camera access for Zaplog in your phone's settings.
