The call controls
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Mute microphone | The other person can't hear you. Tap again to unmute. |
| Audio route | Choose Earpiece, Speaker, Headphones or a Bluetooth device under Select Audio Output. |
| Turn camera on / off | Start or stop sending video. You can turn video on during a voice call. |
| Switch camera | Swap between the front and back camera. |
| End call | Hang up. |
| More options | Raise hand, Share screen, Hold call, Noise cancellation, and adding people. |
Put a call on hold
Tap More options > Hold call. Neither of you can hear the other, and the call stays connected. The screen shows ON HOLD (or THEY'RE ON HOLD on the other side). Tap Resume call to carry on. You need to take the call off hold before you can unmute or turn on your camera.
Noise cancellation
Turn on Noise cancellation in the call options to reduce background noise, such as fans and traffic, on your side of the call.
Switch to speaker
If you turn on your camera, or start sharing your screen, Zaplog asks Switch to speaker?, because the earpiece is hard to hear with the phone away from your ear. Tap Switch to speaker or Keep earpiece. It also asks when the other person turns on their camera.
Leave the call screen
Tap Minimize to use other apps or other parts of Zaplog while you talk.
- A video call shrinks into a small floating window.
- A banner at the top of Zaplog shows the call. Tap Return to call to go back.
React and raise your hand
Tap a reaction (👍 ❤️ 😂 😮 😢 🙏) to send it to everyone in the call. In a group call, Raise hand shows everyone that you'd like to speak.
Message the other person
Tap Message on the call screen to open your chat with them without hanging up.
Encryption
The call screen shows End-to-end encrypted when a call is encrypted. See Call encryption.
