Create a post in a room
Post text, links, images, videos, galleries, polls, events and AMAs, add flair, save drafts and schedule posts.
- Tap Create Post (the + button). Choose a room if you're asked Post in which room?
- Pick a post type: text (the default), Link, Image, Video, Gallery, Poll, Event or AMA.
- Add a Title, and Body text (optional).
- Add flair if the room uses it. Some rooms require flair before you can post.
- Tap Post.
You must join a room before you can post in it.
Post types
| Type | What you add |
|---|---|
| Text | A title and body. The body supports Bold, Italic, Strikethrough, Heading, List, Quote, Code, Spoiler and Link. |
| Link | A web address. ZapRooms shows a preview with a thumbnail. |
| Image | One picture. |
| Video | One video. Free accounts post at 1080p; Zaplog Pro posts up to 4K, as shot. |
| Gallery | Several pictures, each with an optional caption. |
| Poll | Options people vote on, and how long the poll runs (Poll Duration). |
| Event | When it starts, an optional end time and place. Members mark themselves Going or Interested, and can Add to calendar. |
| AMA | An Ask Me Anything session. See Host an AMA. |
Rooms can turn individual post types off.
Drafts
Tap Save as draft to finish later. Your drafts for the room are under Drafts.
Schedule a post
Tap Schedule, pick a date and time, and save. The post is published by Zaplog at the time you chose, even if the app is closed. Your scheduled posts appear under Scheduled posts, where you can Change schedule or choose Post now instead.
Before you post
ZapRooms may show Similar posts in this room, in case your question has already been answered. Posts must follow the room's rules and the Community Guidelines. A post may be Held for review by the room's moderators before others see it.

Some rooms require a minimum number of boost points earned in the room before you can post.
