Watch stories
Watch your contacts' stories, move between them, pause, and close the viewer.
On this page
Open Chats > Stories. Stories you haven't watched are under Recent stories, and ones you've seen are under Viewed stories. A colored ring around someone's photo, here or in your chat list, means they have a story you haven't seen.
Tap a person to start watching.
Controls
| To | Do this |
|---|---|
| Go to the next story | Tap the right side of the screen. |
| Go back | Tap the left third of the screen. |
| Pause | Press and hold. Let go to carry on. |
| Close | Swipe down. |
| Read a long caption | Tap Read more. |
| Open a link story | Tap Open link on the card. |
After someone's last story, the viewer moves on or closes.
Your view is shown to the poster
When you watch a story, the person who posted it can see that you viewed it. To watch without appearing in their viewers list, use Ghost mode.
